After studying Percussion instruments at the Conservatory of Piacenza and Musicology at the University of Cremona, Mattia moved to composition, graduating in Film Scoring at the Bournemouth University. He started his career as a radio jingles composer, to expand later on to television, creating many soundtracks for programs, shows, films and commercials. At present he is working on compositions for production music libraries. Beside, during the years he developed his taste for contemporary music, composing works for different kind of instruments. Nowadays, he is focusing on the writing for the classical guitar, instrument that he is currently studying himself. Projects for the near future comprehend a work for solo guitar based on traditional cuban themes and a chamber piece for mallet instruments and guitar.
